Dragon Wings
My greatest Halloween costume of 2020 never had a chance to be used, but earns a well-deserved spot in my portfolio. Dragon Wings serves as an ode to the Covid era and evidence of the enormous amount of takeout sushi and boba that we consumed as a family during that time. I made these mechanical wings out of disposable chopsticks, boba straws, twisty ties, embroidery floss, and feather boas from the dollar store. Dragon Wings is about imagination and resourcefulness, proving you don’t need expensive materials or engineering expertise to make something that feels alive.
